After the creation and implementation of a child protection policy, it is important for organisations to conduct internal evaluations after a set period of time in order to measure the effectiveness of their policies and processes. Take a look at the language used in both the adult and children’s policy. Does it still make sense based on what your organisation has learned? Renew child protection officer agreements or contracts, or, if necessary, identify and hire new candidates. As an organisation, evaluate on a regular basis the structures and processes you have created and how they can be improved upon based on your experiences and learnings. If possible, integrate child protection in your monitoring and evaluation processes to maximize improvements to your approach.
